Dr. Jean Hager

Dr. Jean Hager, Doctorate in Clinical Social Work (DSW), Rutgers University; Masters inSocial Work (MSW), Rutgers University; and Bachelor of Social Work (BSW),Monmouth University has 35 years of experience as a clinical social worker in a widerange of issues, particularly alcohol and drug addiction, and co-occurring mental healthdisorders. Dr. Hager also treats other compulsive disorders, anxiety/mood disorders,grief and loss issues, and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

At her active private practice in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, founded in 1989, Dr. Hageroffers adult, adolescent, individual, couples, group and family therapy, as well asassessment and interventions.

Ten years prior to opening her private practice, Dr. Hager had held numerous positionsin the field of mental health and addiction. Among her many professionalaccomplishments, Dr. Hager is certified as a New Jersey Licensed Clinical SocialWorker, New Jersey Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Academy ofCertified Social Workers, New Jersey Certified School Social Workers, and a member ofthe National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the American Society ofAddiction Medicine (ASAM). Her training includes intensive courses in addiction,hypnosis, family systems therapy, and couples’ therapy.

In Dr. Hager’s philanthropic roles, she has served as Executive Board Treasurer,Executive Board of Trustees, for the Purr’n Pooch Foundation for Animals from2009-2010, and was on the Executive Board of Trustees for the Monmouth CountySPCA from 2008-2009. She has been a volunteer, and has chaired capital campaignsand many fundraising events for non-profit charities since 2005.
